August 18, 2008

Hey guys,

Today I was searching the internet needlessly, trying to cure my boredom, when I came across these couple of verses. I'm posting them because I think they applies to all of us, somehow.

...he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. -Acts 11:23

And whatever you do...do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. -Colossians 3:17

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise. -Hebrews 13:15

I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. -Psalms 69:30

Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. -Psalms 100:2

Thank you, and please keep praying.

August 17th 2008

Dear readers, this blog is going to be written in one of the strangest ways in the world. What I am going to do might seem unheard of and strange, but it's something I firmly believe in--prayer across the world for someone or something, in this case a girl I only know through a mutual friend.

A teen girl named KT, a close friend of mine, recently told me about her cousin LoAnne and the struggles she was facing. LoAnne has a disease called ulcerative colitis, which is an inflammatory bowel disease. UC affects the large intestine (the colon) and is very closely related to Crohn's Disease.

LoAnne has been given a 1% survival rate for this year, and after fighting for most of her life, she is giving up. I've created this blog in hope--hope that many, many more people will be able to pray for this beautiful girl, that she can fight for her life.

I myself am a Christian, and I do not know what LoAnne's religious background is. All I know is that God works in strange and wonderful ways, and I am sure he can impact this girl's life in ways none of us could ever imagine.

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." -Matthew 18:20

Thank you for reading, and please keep LoAnne in your prayers.
